Hello, my name is Blaine Kellermeier. I sit on the Rockford Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Today I’d like to share with you a couple things. Volunteering in my community and giving back has helped my business grow. Back when I was 20 years old, I was asked to join a group called the Junior Chamber of Commerce.

As it turns out, that was one of the most important business decisions I’ve ever made as a young man. The purpose of the JC’s as an organization was to provide opportunities for young men and women to develop personal and leadership skills through community service and volunteering to help others.

After 15 years of membership and working in our community, I decided to start our business Kellermeier Plumbing, Incorporated. At the time, little did I realize that all those JC contacts and connections would become customers.

I can’t tell you what a jumpstart that was to the success of our business, and after 23 years we are still here in going strong. I’ve been a Rockford Chamber member for 15 years, volunteering at numerous events and have sat on a few committees, and there is no doubt in my mind that being a part of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and this community has had a large impact on our business success.

With all that being said, won’t you join me and volunteer the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and let us help you or your business?
